The Kingfisher Inn is a landmark in the Garden City area of Horry County, South Carolina. It was originally built as a hotel in 1973 (above) and converted into condominiums in 1983. Garden City is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula of Murrells Inlet.

Its location between the Atlantic Ocean and Murrells Inlet makes Garden City a great spot for fishing! The 668-foot long pier has something for everyone. It’s wonderful for a meal at the Pier Cafe, fishing, drinks, dancing, the indoor arcade, and great ocean views. During the warm summer months, the bar opens and live music floats through the salty air, creating a lively beach evening. There is no charge to enjoy walking along the pier.
